CONSTRUCTIVE 19 AWARDS

This month we attended the Registered Master Builders Association annual Constructive19 conference in Wellington. It was a great day of thought provoking presentations, panel discussions and industry updates focused on shaping the future of the New Zealand construction sector.

This year, for the very first time, Constructive included awards for projects demonstrating leadership and innovation with Building Information Modelling (BIM). There were three categories: Projects under NZD$25m, projects between $25-50m and projects above $50m, as well as an overall award.

Dominion Constructors Ltd and Russell Property Group entered our QT Hotel Auckland project in the $25-50m category and were absolutely thrilled to take out both our category award AND the overall award! The judges said the project team displayed excellent use of BIM right from the start, through to building operation and asset management. We’d like to extend our thanks to the judges and the Registered Master Builders Association We would also like to acknowledge and thank the rest of the QT project team – especially Jasmax, BGT Structures, Agile Engineering Consultants, 1st Mechanical, Caldwell & Levesque, Bassett Plumbing and Ask Metro Fire.
