AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT

On August 25th, the construction industry had two key events – the NZIOB Awards for Excellence and the Master Builders Regional (Auckland) Apprentice of the Year. Dominion is very proud to say we had finalists in both of these awards.

Congratulations to Chris Johnstone in reaching the finals of the Apprentice of the Year, this takes a lot of hard work and dedication and although you may not have won on the night, this is an achievement you should be as proud of as we are.

The NZIOB Young Achiever of the Year recognises excellence through the career and personal achievements of industry professionals under 30. Dominion congratulates our 3 finalists Todd Scrafton, Chris Bassett and James Reed for this achievement and in particular to Chris and James, who for the first time in the awards 24 years, left the judges unable to distinguish a clear winner and so both received the Excellence Award. It is great to see these positive results of our investment in developing future leaders through our comprehensive programmes for cadets and apprentices. Congratulations to our deserving winners, and a big thank you to the mentors that guide them to ongoing success.

On behalf of the entire Dominion team – Congratulations & Well Done to all of you!
