THOM STREET

Dominion’s Residential Team completed a design and build contract with key partner Kainga Ora for their public housing development programme.

The development is situated on a 11,046m2 site in Thom St, New Lynn.

The project includes standalone homes, terraced homes and apartments.  There are two and three level apartments blocks.  Each two-level apartment block contains nine units and each of the three level apartments blocks contain between four and six units in each.

The houses and apartments have been built using timber framing with brick and timber cladding. To allow for more access to the properties the existing cul de sac street has been replaced with a new road connecting two main roads on either side of the street. The residential team designed the parking and landscape around the buildings to suit the future tenant’s lifestyle.
