HOTEL GRAND CHANCELLOR

NZ Strong and Dominion Structures partnered to construct a 12-storey hotel in the Auckland CBD – The Hotel Grand Chancellor. The project site, located on Wellesley Street West, was a sloping inner-city site across from the new Sky City New Zealand International Convention Centre.

The Hotel Grand Chancellor offers 191 guest rooms spread across 11 floors, with an additional basement level for back-of-house operations, covering a partial site footprint.

The project features a two-level podium with public amenities and a central courtyard garden. This space is accessed through a shared vehicular and pedestrian laneway. The hotel’s structure is primarily composed of steel and ComFlor, with structural cladding panels and stitch joints throughout.
