Formed in 1973, Dominion Constructors has enjoyed progressive and significant growth under the current Directorship, to incorporate one of the largest labour forces in the construction industry. Our capabilities and reputation for the successful management and completion of construction projects has also established many long standing relationships within the industry. The size and expertise of the Company also ensures a large percentage of the work is done “in-house” and not primarily through subcontractors, giving a greater control over the quality of the project and the ability to drive performance requirements.

Dominion Constructors operate primarily throughout the northern half of the North Island of New Zealand, but have also successfully completed projects internationally since 1990. The Joint Managing Directors, Alf and Brett Russell, secured equal shareholdings within Dominion Constructors in 1991 alongside Don Black an original Founder and Director of Dominion Constructors. Alf and Brett then gained full ownership of the company in 1996.

Today the experience and expertise of Dominion's Staff along with a continued commitment to quality, health and safety and adoption of industry best practices, provides a total package for the client, from tender to hand over. Our large team of Quantity Surveyors, Engineers and Project Managers, ensure contractual requirements are identified and appropriate methodologies are utilised, offering our clients practical and economic solutions.

The established culture and independently certified management systems ensure each stage is effectively controlled and promises are met. Dominion Constructors have a proven reputation and have worked on many large and high profile projects, either as a main contractor, key subcontractor or in a partnership role.
