The 16-storey Hyatt Residences were built next to the existing, operating hotel, requiring restrictions on noise and working hours. Built from the ground floor up, the project required an intricate ground beam layout that was subsequently excavated beneath to incorporate car parking. Dominion was utilised for the concrete structure along with installation of rib flooring system, in-situ shear walls and column beams and construction of major cantilevered balconies.

The balconies and in-situ balustrades are a major feature of the building and while difficult to construct due to being radiused in both planes, worked well with the tailored steel shutters and give the building a distinctive appearance.
